Mechanical Structure

The compact design enables the Premium machine to suit almost in any tool and mould making facility for manufacturing graphite electrodes.

Designed with a solid steel under frame base combined with a rock granite machine bed thus enabling the necessary structural characteristics required to offer high thermal stability, anti-vibration and high tensile strength as is required for precision and high speed performance.

Linear guidance and linear motors are mounted outside the working area, an arrangement, which protects these components additionally against splinters and abrasive purifying types of dust. Beyond that by the variable arrangement of the suction cyclone, the developing  purifying dust is sucked off  with Tornado power during processing.

A further highlight:  The PREMIUM graphite is compatible to all zero point clamping systems.  When desired electrode holder and alternating systems of all considerable manufacturers (Hirschmann, Erowa, 3R, e.g.) are integrated.

Very fast control concept

The control system HSC has a special high speed control path card which has cycle processing rates of up to 0,1ms. Control federates with either small simple moves or complex geometry forms are possible with high path accuracy and complete dynamic control of the process.

The user friendly control software on Windows (2000/XP) permits communicating via network options such as (CAD/CAM stations) if required.

 

High Frequency Spindle
The PREMIUM 4030 µ graphite is completed by a quickly rotating 2,3-kW high frequency spindle up  to 40,000 rpm.  Optional also different spindles are available, e.g. with numbers of revolutions up to 100,000 rpm or double spindles for the series production of electrodes.

By the use of fine-heaved HSK-25 collets (e.g..  TRIBOS system) highest run-out accuracy up to 3 µm are ensured, particularly for the application of long overhanging and very small tools.
